Before ordering, please read the T&Cs detailed below. If your question is not answered please do not hesitate to contact me.


All orders above the value of £40 require a 50% deposit to book in. Orders less than £40 required a £10 deposit to book in.

* Deposit's are non-refundable and will be deducted from your final balance which is due upon / before collection. This will act as confirmation of your order. Your order will not be booked in until your deposit is received.

Full payment must be made if an order is made at short notice.


Collections are to be made from Plumpton Green and we will try to arrange a time that suits you at the time of booking. I will provide you with my address & directions before your collection date.

By taking your cake from the premises you are confirming you are happy with the cake's condition and overall presentation. 
Shadow Cakes accepts no responsibility for any damaged caused to a cake once it has been collected or after delivery to your nominated venue.

We advise that when transporting your cake it should be kept in the box provided on a flat surface, out of direct sunlight and not transported on a car seat.


​It is important that I am made aware of any allergies at the time of ordering.

Please be aware that whilst your chosen cake may not be made with nuts or a nut product, it will be prepared in a kitchen where nut products may be used in other cakes and fillings. Furthermore customers should be aware that 'free from' cakes are produced in the same area as non 'free from' cakes. As a result it can not be guaranteed there will be no traces of allergen ingredients.

Shadow Cakes will take due care to keep allergy prone ingredients out of the kitchen.

Full allergen information for your order can be provided upon request at the time of booking. Details of any allergens within your cakes will be provided with your order.


​I must be given a minimum of 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel your order. Deposits are non-refundable, however where possible, I will accommodate rescheduling your order to a different date. Please note this will depend on my availability and doing so is at the full discretion of Shadow Cakes. 



​If you wish to order a wedding cake, a full booking form will be provided.

Wedding cakes require a 50% non-refundable deposit which will be deducted from your final balance. Your final balance is due at least 7 days before your wedding date.

All wedding cakes will be delivered to the agreed venue, set up and left, with a photograph sent to the customer. Where possible we will gain the signature of a responsible person to verify the condition of the cake.
We can not be held responsible for the location of the cake at the venue.


When you book a cake with us, we have to collect a small amount of data such as name and contact details. If you pay via online banking we do not hold your bank or card details, or have any access to them.
​We will never share your personal details with any other company.


​Any changes to your order after booking are entirely at the discretion of Shadow Cakes. This includes (but is not limited to) - change of date, style, design, size or flavour.

I am happy to work from a design you have seen or to design something for you, there is no difference in cost. However, I do ask that you please respect my creativity - NO image provided will be copied exactly and is open to my own interpretation and style.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your order, this must be communicated at the time of collection (or within 12 hours if someone is collecting on your behalf). 

All refunds are at the discretion of Shadow Cakes. Full refunds will not be given for any cake which has been consumed, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied.
