Hi, my name is Alex and I love making bespoke cakes and bakes for your special occasions. 
 
As a child, my mum always handmade my birthday cakes and this is where my love of
baking began. I began baking with my mum at an early age and continued making
occasional cakes and bakes for family and friends until my boys were born, when I
decided to start 'Shadow Cakes'. Although professionally a part-time primary school teacher and mother of two, I really enjoy creating new designs of fondant and buttercream cakes for all occasions.

All my bakes are made from scratch, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. 

I have a 5star food hygiene rating and hold a level 2 food hygiene certificate, an allergy awareness certificate and am a member of the British Sugarcraft Guild.
